VIP Sweets Available

7-Eleven’s Montauk, NY location is a vibe in itself to the younger population that frequents it. It has an air of exclusitivity, even for a convenience store. As a way to market the unique culture of this store’s location, 7-Eleven had the idea to pair with Eddie Eddie by Billy Tommy to create some branded merchandise as well as assets to use in our designs for the store takeover. Along with these assets, the instructions of making the designs feel like an exclusive Hamptons resort were given. Eddie Eddie by Billy Tommy’s relaxed, handwritten typeface and sketch style illustrations added a challenge when asked to be combined with a high end feel. I ended up focusing on a simple but polished resort feel and then incorporated the handwriting and illustrations as if they were graffitied onto the signage. With this style I created window decals, a floor decal, and drink neck hangers (to resemble hotel “Do Not Disturb” door hangers). These really gave the entire takeover the feel of being the VIP spot for young tourists and locals to own for the summer.
