These posters, inspired by Herb Lubalin’s treatment of text, are depictions of some of my own poetry using type within imagery to convey the meanings of the words. With a focus on typography, I chose a bold and geometric style to compliment the focus on the words themselves, while keeping sight of the goal of the design itself reflecting the message perfectly. I’ve always been drawn to Russian Constructivism, Art Deco, and Dada, so the connection to those styles came naturally.
